On May 15, 2005,
Troop 521 hosted members of Pack 521 and their families for a 7 mile
canoe trip down the Buffalo River. It was the first time river
canoeing for a number of the folks on the float. A short
distance into the float, we stopped for some basic instruction from
one of our Assistant Scoutmasters.
We stopped as often as we
could to play and body surf and, about 1/2 way to our destination,
stopped for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Everybody got
good and wet.
A stop at McDonald's on
the way home for dinner was the end to an excellent day.
