| Troop 521 hiked the Little Fiery Gizzard to
Raven Point in December. We covered the 4.3 miles to the
campground in around 2 hours carrying our backpacks. When we
arrived the temperature began dropping pretty quickly as we set up
camp. We fixed our dinner and crawled into our tents to stay
warm. Nobody believed that we could actually sleep 13 hours
until everybody woke up the next morning. Then it was time to
hike back to the parking lot to head home. We finally made it,
a little tired and a little sore but it was a good trip and we'll be
back. The only drawback was the
Scoutmaster forgot his camera so this photo was taken with a
cellphone. |
