Early in the day on September 23, 2003, volunteers gathered at Stewart State Forest to begin work on Benjamin Bills' Eagle project.
We were to build two shelters with benches along a trail.
The work included some new and innovative techniques for loosening bolts.  I'm still not sure what this picture is all about, however.
Gradually the second shelter began to take shape.  Supports were placed under the roof to support it.  As the roof went up, a gentle rain began to fall and we knew that it would keep hikers dry.
Then we were done.  Everyone had a great time and we just had to stop off at the B & M Diary Freeze in Dover on the way home.
