| Early in the day on September 23,
2003, volunteers gathered at Stewart State Forest to begin work on
Benjamin Bills' Eagle project. |
We were to build two shelters with benches along
a trail. |
| The work included some new and innovative
techniques for loosening bolts. I'm still not sure what this
picture is all about, however. |
Gradually the second shelter began to
take shape. Supports were placed under the roof to support it.
As the roof went up, a gentle rain began to fall and we knew that it
would keep hikers dry. |

Then we were done. Everyone
had a great time and we just had to stop off at the B & M Diary Freeze
in Dover on the way home. |
