Ben finished
his Eagle late last fall (the photos from his project are on this site).
When his paperwork came back approved from the national office, he asked to
be given his Eagle badge to wear on his uniform as soon as possible.
Since his 18th birthday
was fast approaching, we arranged to award the badge and have the Eagle oath
administered at the January 26 Troop meeting. The Troop meeting was
dedicated to recognizing Ben for his accomplishment.
Now he can relax and plan a more formal Court of Honor
for sometime this spring.
Of course, congratulations were in order.
There was a minor glitch
as we realized that we had no way to attach the badge to Ben's shirt.
However, a well prepared
Scout always carries a roll of duct tape with him. A small amount of
tape and all was well again.
